Previous Major Projects and Donations
In 2013 we raised $200,000 to erect the Opti-Mist Splash Pad at 13 North Court St W. In October 2022 approval was reached at our monthly meeting to make repairs in the range of $16,000. There are multiple sponsor spaces still available and you can click the photo above to find out more information.
We make a yearly donation to the CCOF who's missions is to invest today for the future of our youth by seeking and managing funds through collaboration with Canadian Optimist Clubs and their communities, by supporting Clubs to create opportunities that will enhance quality of life, improve health and wellness and inspire our youth.
June 20, 2019 was the Grand Opening of the new Soccer Fields in Norwich. We are proud to be a community partner and donated over $30,000 towards this worthy project. During the kids fun day each year are happy to provide free hot dogs, drinks & more. To visit Norwich Minor Soccer click the photo above.
For many years, the Optimist Club of Norwich & District operated a Corn Maze along with amazing sponsors just north of Norwich. Unfortunately the COVID 19 mandates kept us closed for two seasons and moving forward we are unable to operate at the current location any more. If you have a location where one could be hosted, please get in contact with us.
2022 saw the T'n'T Pull return after having to take a mandated 2 year hiatus due to government pandemic mandates. We saw the largest crowds ever and are extremely proud of the support that the Norwich Community showed towards our event through sponsorship, attendance and puller participation.
Our mission is to improving the lives of youth in our community. We believe that physical health is a big part of that and because of this belief we have all allocated a large sum towards the completion of the Norwich-Springford-Tillsonburg Trail. Funds will be released to as soon as the project gets underway. More information can be found by clicking the picture above.
